Situated on the banks of the
Brahmaputra, Dhing is a small town in
Nagaon District of central
Assam. It lies east of Lahorighat Pam, south of Barchola, west of Bar Dhoa and north of Lasanbari. This town was well known for its Steamer Ghat in the past. Even now, milk and agricultural products are transported from Dhing by steamer or rowing boat.
Dhing is 25 km from the district headquarters of Nagaon. Nearest Railway Junction is at Chaparmukh.
