Dhepa Dhuliya is a folk dance performed in most parts of
Darrang District in
Assam. This traditional dance form involves four or six dancers attired in brightly colored shirts and gowns.
The costumes usually make use of the three basic colors; red, green and blue. The dancers play the cymbals while moving to the beats of Dhepadhol, a drum known for its unique sound.
Dhepa Dhuliya is mostly performed during important ceremonies such as wedding.
