Established in 1995, the Dhenkanal Science Centre is constituent unit of National Council of Museums functioning at
Dhenkanal in
Orissa. Situated on a hill top with its elegant building and Science Park, it showcases various fabricated objects related to science and other exhibits of scientific importance.
The centre features mirrors, musical instruments, human skeleton, bicycle riding, hot air balloon, and rolling balls to perform acrobatics and parabolic reflectors. There is also a planetarium installed here.
The center also organizes Teachers’ Training Programs, science seminars and popular lectures, science quiz, science film shows, temporary exhibitions and science library.
Dhenkanal Science Centre is open everyday, except Mondays, from 11:30 to 19:00 hrs.
