Dhaleo

Dhaleo is a small village located about 6 km south-east of Bhikhi in Bathinda District. This village is associated with Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru.

Folklore has it that Tulsan Das, a famous saint, received a sermon from Guru Sahib here. Dhaleo houses a famous Sikh shrine erected in honor of the Guru in 1916. The gurdwara, named as Gurdwara Manji Sahib Patshahi Nauvin, draws a large number of Sikh devotees. With domed sanctum and rectangular hall, the gurdwara is also noted for its architectural excellence.

There is an old lake on the northern outskirts of the village. Dhaleo is locally known as Dhalevan.
