Dewanganj lies near the Indo-Bangladesh border, in Coochbehar District of West Bengal. It is around 5 km south-east of Haldibari and to the south-west of Mekhliganj. Uchalpukhari, Jamaldaha Hat and Changrabandha are other nearby places.
