Dev Thach is a scenic village located at an altitude of 3,000 m in the
Har-Ki-Doon Valley. It lies on the
Ruinsara Tal trek route in
Uttarkashi District. Dev Thach offers a panoramic view of the Swargarohini Peak. It is surrounded by lush green terraced fields and very thick conifer forests. This region is a veritable paradise for bird watchers and nature lovers. Nearby interesting locations are Datmir,
Sankri,
Osla,
Yamuna Valley, Bhagirathi Valley and Taluka. Trekking and mountaineering are the main attractions. Base camps are also available.
