Raisen District,
Madhya Pradesh. Located midway between

Excavations have unearthed many architectural works of the Maurya - Sunga period (fourth through first centuries) including 63 ancient rock-shelters, 30 stone stupas, a water channel system and an ancient pathway.
Excavations also recovered pieces of terracotta toys, beads, ear studs and coins, which hint that this site must have been an active trade center.
