Deepmaal




Deepmaal is a lamp pillar at Alandi in Pune District. It was built in 1743 by Lakshmibai Angre, wife of Kanhoji Angre, and the monument reminds the glorious history of the Angre family.

The pillar, 12-13 meters high, is on a platform of two meters high. The main body is made of dressed stone in five rows. The external facade has carved images of elephants, horses and tigers.
