Dechhenphu, also called ‘the cave of happiness’, is the western most of the four holy caves in
Sikkim. It lies near
Dzongri in
West Sikkim District.
Yuksom is around 28 km south-east.
Dechhenphu Cave lies in unfriendly mountainous terrain and is almost inaccessible by foot. Dubdi Monastery, Lakshmi Pokhari Lake and Samiti Lake are interesting spots on the trek route from Yuksom to Dzongri.
