Near the village of Kutalpura, 3 km from the railway station of
Sawai Madhopur, is situated the Dastkar Craft Center. Dastkar Craft Center is an NGO aimed to wipe out poverty from the villages. It is an excellent center where the local low-caste women are trained to make patchwork quilting and appliqué work. The shop at the center displays products such as lock-printed bedspreads, pottery, textiles and a large collection of various handmade clothes all of high standard and quality. The items offered are at reasonable rates. The products are also sold at
Delhi.
Ranthambore National Park is only 3 km away from the center. The houses in that place are also worth seeing since the walls are decorated with some beautiful traditional murals.
