Dalma Hills are situated about 13 km from
Jamshedpur in
East Singhbhum District of
Jharkhand. These hills lie towards the north of the Subarnarekha River, stretching from east to west by about 16 km. There are thick forests spread over 195 sq km which provide the best habitat for elephants. In the vicinity lies
Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary, where one can find elephants, barking deer, sloth bears, porcupines, leopards and tigers. Moreover, the sharp and abrupt slopes of Dalma offer excellent trekking opportunities. Nearby attractions include
Jubilee Park and
Dimna Lake which are situated at the foot of these hills.
