Churika is a metal weapon mostly used by the northern stylists in
Kalaripayattu. It is a dagger cum sword which measures about the length of the arm pit from the palm. The blade portion of this double edged sword is two angula in width. It broadens up to four angulas and narrows to a sharp tip. One angula is the distance from the tip of the thumb to the first joint of the thumb from the tip.
