Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is situated at
Gangolli in
Udupi District. The primary Church was built by the Portuguese in 1629. This Church was destroyed when the Portuguese left Gangolli.
From 1812, the church had to go through a series of rebuilding process as it had to face several attacks during the course of time. The present structure was built in 1965. There are six wards under the Church parish.
St Joseph Primary and Stella Mari’s Girls High School function under the supervision of the church.
The Church is about 3 km to the north of Kundapura. Kundapura Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
