Church of St Joseph is located in Jeppu, 4 km from
Mangalore, in
Karnataka. There are five parish wards under the church. Started way back in 1875 as a place for boys and girls converted to Christianity, it became a seminary. St Joseph’s Seminary was designed and built by Fr Diamanti. It was was blessed on March 8, 1891. The beautiful paintings of St Joseph, the Grotto, Our Lady of Lourdes and that of St Ignatius Loyola were done by Br Moscheini. The paintings of Sts Augustine, Monica, Ann, Francis Assisi and Thomas were donated by a duchess from Austria.
Kankanady Railway Station, situated 5 km east of Mangalore, is the nearest station. Mangalore Bus Station operates buses from Mangalore to major cities.
