Church of Our Lady of Vailankanni is situated in Navoor in the
Dakshina Kannada District of
Karnataka. The Shrine of Our Lady of Vailankanni was built by Fr Benedict Monteiro, a Pallottine Priest and blessed by the Bishop on May 31, 1993. Status of an independent parish was granted on December 8, 1994. The new Church building was constructed in the period between 1994 to 1999 and was inaugurated on May 1, 1997. The Church has seven parish wards.
Bantwal cross road Railway station on the Mangalore–Hassan Railway line is the nearest railway station. Navoor is about 12 km from Belthangady. Local buses are available from Belthangady to Navoor.
