Christu Shishya Ashram was started under the leadership of Bishop Herbert Bachen Ham Walsh in 1936. The ashram’s goal was to uphold Christian life by working for the strength of the poor and doing social service.
Christu Shishya Ashram owns the Bishop Walsh Hospital, St. Gregorios Balabhavan, and Bishop Walsh Seminary School.
