Choolanur

Choolanur is small sleepy village in Palakkad District of Kerala. It is famous for the Choolanur Peacock Sanctuary. Kunchan Smarakam and Killikurrussi Mangalam are the nearby attractions. Hundreds of butterflies can be seen at Choolanur soon after monsoon.

Choolanur is about 30 km from Palakkad and is easily accessible by local buses. C A Coimbatore Airport, about 55 km from Choolanur, is the nearest airport. Palakkad Town Railway Station is the nearest railway station.
