Chittu Pandey


Popularly referred to as the Shere Ballia (Lion of Ballia), Chittu Pandey was born on May 10, 1865, in Rattuchak, a village in Ballia District of Uttar Pradesh.

A distinguished freedom fighter, Chittu Pandey led the Quit India Movement in Ballia on August 19, 1942.

Chittu Pandey passed away in 1946.
