Chitra Vichitra Mahadev Temple




Chitra Vichitra Mahadev Temple is an ancient tribal shrine located at Gunbhakhari in Sabarkantha District, Gujarat. It is situated at the confluence of 3 rivers - Aakar, Vaakar and Sabarmati. The temple enshrines Lord Shiva as the presiding deity.

The temple was named after the Mahabharata princes - Chitraveer and Vichitraveer. The annual Chitra Vichitra Fair celebrated here is a major draw attended by thousands of devotees from far and near.

Khed Brahma Railway Station, on the Ahmedabad-Khedbrahma meter gauge rail route, is the nearest railhead (32 km).
