Chiraikund is located in Sarguja District and lies near the district’s border with Madhya Pradesh. It is around 35 km north-west of Wadrafnagar.

Semarsot Wildlife Sanctuary, a major tourist destination in the district, is around 70 south-east of Chiraikund.

Raipur Airport is the nearest airport. Anuppur Junction Railway Station is the major railhead nearby.
