Chinmaya Mission was established in 1953 by the devotees of
Swami Chinmayananda. Run by the Central Chinmaya Mission Trust, it is a world wide Hindu spiritual organization. The Mission aims to spread the knowledge of vedanta to all corners of the world. The organization takes up a wide range of spiritual, educational and charitable activities. Spiritual discourses, vedanta correspondence course and other spiritual courses are conducted. Special classes for children are offered. Chinmaya Mission runs free clinics, hospitals, vocational training centers, orphanages and old age homes.
