Chingri Paturi is a unique Bengali way of prawn preparation in banana leaves. The de-veined jumbo prawns are marinated using mustard paste, green chilly paste, grated coconut, turmeric, salt, sugar and mustard oil and steam cooked in banana leaf. Chingri Paturi is a good accompaniment to rice. The tails of the prawns are kept intact during cooking, for decorative purposes.
