Chimmanakali is an art form performed by the
Pulayas, a backward community in
Kerala. The word ‘Chimmanam’ refers ‘humor or chat.’ Chimmanakali is a satirical form of art played to point out evils of the society. It is connected with Garbhabali known as Kannal kalampattu.
