Chidananda Hermitage Shanti Ashram

An ideal place for sadhana (a spiritual exercise), the Chidananda Hermitage Shanti Ashram is situated amid a forest near the village of Baliguali. It is near the holy town of Puri and is administrated by the Divine Life Society of Rishikesh. Lord Jagannath (Lord Krishna), Lord Balabhadra (Balarama) and Goddess Subhadra (sister of Lord Krishna and Balarama) are the presiding deities. There are regular puja and worships in the morning and evening, and all major festivals are celebrated. Guided meditation and study of scriptural literature are other activities. Chidananda Hermitage Shanti Ashram provides accommodation for male visitors.
