Chi-Kur-Chhiah
Since salt is considered as a valuable product in the hill areas and there is a practice among the Mizos to give a share of salt collected to the chieftain. This practice is known by the name Chi-Kur-Chhiah. Mineral salts are available in the rocks in the hilly areas and those who collect such salt would have to pay a share to the chief.
