Cheta Singh Ghat

Cheta Singh Ghat, on the banks of the Ganges River, is one of the significant spots in Varanasi of Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier known as Khirki Ghat, it was built by King Chet Singh, who fought a fierce battle against the British troops of Lord Warren Hastings in 1781.

This ghat has three Shiva temples, which date back to the 18th century. Budhwa Mangal, a seven day festival, formerly held here. The devotees are not recommended to bath here due to the sharp currents of the Ganges.
