Chennamkary is a small serene village in
Alappuzha District of
Kerala. It is about 10 km from
Alappuzha and 2 km from Nedumudi.
Blessed with backwaters, paddy fields and rivers, the village holds an ancient church built in AD 427. One can also spot cheruvalloms (small rowing boats) and kettuvalloms (houseboats) in the backwaters of this typical Alappuzha village. The village, with its calm atmosphere and scenic beauty, is an ideal place for tourists. Moonnatummugham, Pullangady, Thekkeamichakari and Chenkara are the nearby villages.
