Owned and managed by the Chavara Educational Trust, the Chavara Public School has been conceived as a humble attempt to realize the vision of ‘Integral Man through Education’, as envisaged by the great luminary, Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara. It was started in 1998, as a 10 + 2 co-educational centre of national standard, supported by highly qualified staff and advanced facilities. Medium of teaching is English. Hindi and
Malayalam are taught as second and third languages respectively.
The curriculum is a judicious blend of academics and co-curricular and extra curricular activities, aimed at the overall development of the student. A house system is followed with an aim to inculcate in its students, a sense of co-operation, teamwork, mutual understanding, sportsmanship and a healthy spirit of competition. Various clubs and cultural associations organised in the school helps in grooming budding talents in arts, science and sports.
Boarding facilities are available for boys from class 5 onwards. A well stoked library caters to the scholarly needs of its students. Other facilities in the campus include computer centre, well-maintained laboratories, sports facilities and transport arrangements.
