Chavara Bhavan is situated at Kainakary, a village in
Alappuzha District. It is the ancestral home of the blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara. It is about 6 km from
Alappuzha and can be accessed only by boat.
A holy place of worship, Chavara Bhavan is thronged by thousands of devotees. A 250-year-old beacon of light is preserved in its original form.
