Chavand Fort




Chavand is a hill fort in Pune District of Maharashtra. This conical shaped fort (at 3,400 feet high) lies north of Junnar. There is a small temple of goddess Chavandbai near the fort. Rock-cut caves and water cisterns are also found on the way to the fort. This ruined fort can be accessed from Chavandwadi, a village at the base.
