Chaturshrungi goddess temple, belonging to the Shivaji era, is dedicated to
Goddess Kali, the reigning deity of
Pune. She is also variously known as
Mahalakshmi, MahaSaraswati and Ambareshwari. This 90 ft high temple is located on a hillock off Senapati Bapat Road, in the northwest of Pune. The temple is managed by Chaturshrungi Devasthan Trustees.
The annual Navratri Fair held here in the month of October attracts large number of devotees.
