Chatrabhoja




Chatrabhoja is a village located 70 km to the south-west of Kolkata. It is also known as Khadi. Folklore has it that the Ganges divided into hundreds of branches at this place and then again merged during the period of Lord Chaitanya.

Lord Chaitanya has also visited this place during his journey to Jagannath Puri. Major attractions of this village are Chakra Teertha, where the lotus footprint of Lord Chaitanya is kept and the worship place of Lord Shiva. Every year in March-April a festival called Nanda-mela is conducted here. The Teertha of Anbulinga is nearby.

The nearest railhead is Jaynagar railway station. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport is the nearest air terminal.
