Charan Paduka Temple




Located about 5 km from Katra town in Jammu District, at a height of 3,380 ft is the Charan Paduka Temple dedicated to Goddess Vaishno Devi. The literal meaning of the word ‘Charanpaduka’ is 'holy foot print.' According to Hindu myth, it is the place where the goddess stopped for some time while she was chased by Bhairon. There is a holy stone believed to bear the footprint of the goddess.

A well equipped medical team is camped here to provide medical facilities for the visitors.
