Chango, at an altitude of 3058 m, is located on the left bank of
Spiti River in the
Kangra District of
Himachal Pradesh. Kalpa town, on
National Highway 22, is 122 km away.
Chango is a group of four villages and is encircled by high hills.
Buddhism is practiced by the majority of the people but there are some local Hindu deities such as Gyalbo, Dabla and Yalsa.
