Chandravalli Caves are situated at Chitradurga in Karnataka. This is a popular tourist site as it is of great historic importance. The excavations done here have revealed many archeological remains of the Neolithic period, most of them are kept in the Government Museum, Bangalore. Many inscriptions have also been found here, including the Mayura Verma inscription. Chitradurga Fort located nearby is a major draw.
