Chandigarh Carnival is a festival for the students in
Chandigarh. It is a three-day event celebrated in the second week of November just before or after Children's Day – the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru.
Chandigarh Carnival opens with a colourful procession in which everyone is encouraged to join. The festival provides an opportunity for students to show their talents and actions in a number of competitions. Elders too participate in a number of competitions and exhibits.
