Chandan River




Chandan is a major river that flows through Balaghat District in Madhya Pradesh. It is the major source of water for the nearby villages. The Nahlesara Dam was constructed across the river between 1960 and 1965. Rampaily Temple, famous for the idols of Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman, is on the banks of Chandan River. Amma Mai Temple is another attraction nearby.
