Situated amid dense green forest, Chandan is a charming town in the southern part of
Banka District in
Bihar. It lies in the foothills of Dahua and rests at an altitude of 741 ft above sea level.
The tribal people of the area celebrate Shikar Mela, a weeklong hunting festival, with great pomp and festivity. Chandan is linked by road to the towns of Katoria and Jasidih. Banka, the district headquarters, is around 40 km to the north-east of the town.
Nearest access points are Patna Airport and Jasidih Junction Railway Station on the Howrah-Delhi rail route.
