Perched at a height of about 5,291 ft above sea level, Chandal is a small village in
Kathua District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 103 km south-east of
Jammu and eight kilometers from
Sarthal. Chandal is surrounded by
Dhaggar in the west, Loang in the north, Sunukothi in the east and Bhud in the south.
By road, one can reach Chandal from Langera and Kilor . The nearest railhead is at Kathua.
