Champaner Church is situated at
Champaner, an ancient town situated at the base of the Pavagadh Hill in
Gujarat. Though in a derelict state, three rooms on the ground floor, probably meant for travelers, and a prayer hall above can still be made out from its ruins. The arched niches found in the western wall have openings in the form of a Greek cross, instead of the typical sun, pot and foliage motif usually seen in the mihrab of Champaner mosques.
The surroundings, which remained unattended for years, had resulted in thick vegetative growth thereby hindering its visibility from outside and also a smooth access by foot.
