Chakung

Chakung lies in the southern part of West Sikkim District in Sikkim. Namchi is about 15 km east of Chakung.

Chakung is famed for mulberry plantation. Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary and Soreng are tourist interests in the region.

Nearest airport is Civil Enclave Bagdogra and Darjeeling Railway Station is the closest major railhead.
