Chainpur

Chainpur is located in Palamu District and lies on the outskirts Daltonganj, the district headquarters.

It is a block headquarters and is located on the banks of the North Koel River. Daltonganj is around 5 km east, and to the west of Chainpur is the town of Salatua. Garhwa is around 25 km north-west.

Some of the interesting spots worth visiting near Chainpur include Palamu Tiger Reserve, Palamu Forts, Artisan Well and Garhdevi Mandir at Garhwa.

Ranchi, the state capital, is around 150 km south-east. Daltonganj Railway Station and Ranchi Airport are the nearest airport and railhead respectively.
