Lying at an altitude of 1,240 ft above sea level, Chab is a small town in
Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 13 km from
Jammu, the district headquarters of
Jammu District.
Chab is surrounded by Tutan Kuhi in the west,
Mandowah in the north,
Parhun in the east and Chhargal in the south.
Dogra Art Museum, Gadhadharji Temple,
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine and
Bahu Fort are some of the tourist attractions outside the town. Some of the important places near Chab are Aitham, Baramini,
Chalni, Garal and Kaintha.
Chab can be easily approached from Jammu Tawi Railway Station. The nearest airport is Jammu Airport, 8 km from Jammu.
