Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD), the pioneer Institution in the field of Tool Engineering in India, was established in 1968 by the Government of India with the assistance of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Project and International Labour Organisation (ILO).
CITD conducts several regular and part-time training programs in the field of Tool Design and Manufacture, Low Cost Automation, Mechatronics and Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacture. During the program, factory visits are being arranged for practical exposure.
CITD is about 12 km from Hyderabad. It is easily accessible from Secunderabad Central Bus Station and Imlibun Bus Station.
