The Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering (CIAE) is situated at
Bhopal in
Madhya Pradesh.
The mission of CIAE is to develop appropriate equipment and processes for modernization of agriculture in India. It also provides technology for reducing post harvest losses and adds value to agro produce through processing. CIAE address issues related to agricultural energy, tread mill for human and animal testing, agronomical research etc. Research and development and technology transfer related to farm mechanization, irrigation and drainage engineering, agro-processing and renewable energy are also matters of concern of CIAE.
