Central Drug Research Institute is an autonomous institution established under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSRI). It is one of the first among the few laboratories established in India immediately after its independence. It is a multidisciplinary laboratory consisting of resource persons from different areas of biomedical sciences. It uses latest techniques and methodologies for developing drugs, diagnostics and vaccines. The Institute conducts researches and field trial of drugs according to the guidelines offered by the Government of India. CDRI offers modern drug discovery facilities, analytical services, biological screening, and drug quality control facilities to the pharmaceutical industry, research and development organisations and academic institutions.
