Cave Monastery is a small old Buddhist monastery situated at
Shergol Village in
Kargil District,
Jammu and Kashmir.
The monastery stands projecting out of a brown granite cliff, as if suspended in the middle of the mountains. The walls of the monastery are exquisitely garnished with fine murals. The unique architecture of the monastery attracts large number of people.
