The Catholic Syrian Bank was established on 26th November 1920. The bank commenced business on 1st January 1921 with an authorised capital of Rs 500,000. During the first two decades of its functioning, the bank concentrated its operations only in
Kerala. Presently, the bank has a network of over 330 branches/extension counters. The bank has launched a computerization programme named 'Business Intelligence System' which facilitates connectivity through Virtual Private Network between all CSB branches, and provides related state-of-the art services like fast clearing, ATM facility, any branch banking, and internet banking.
