Carpet Cellar in
New Delhi presents a stunning range of carpets, shawls and kilims. All these collections recall the craftsmanship and weaving skills of craftsmen during the times of
Emperor Akbar.
Mughal jail collection, Indian cotton jail carpets, tribal rugs, new durries and Maharaja Kashmir carpets are the carpet specialties among many others. Kilims come in the form of prayer rugs, floor coverings and wall hangings, and are the result of craftsmen from the regions of Turkey, Afghanistan, Iran, Central Asia and China.
Shawls found here are hand-woven by the trained artisans, and prominent of them are Pashmina, shamina, antique Jamawar and hand painted shawls. Other collectibles include baby blankets, embroidered selections and zardosi cushions.
