Started in 1858 at
Kolkata, Calcutta Rowing Club is an athletic and social organization promoting rowing on the
Ganges River. The club offers sweep rowing and sculling, beginner lessons and serious competition. Mainly inter and intra-club competitions are held. Usual regattas and pagal regattas are organized for public.
The club has a bar, gymnasium, billiard’s room and an outdoor cafe. Associate membership is offered. Rowing facilities are available from 06:00 to 07:30 hrs and 15:30 to 17:00 hrs daily.
